In the event an established JBIC Entity wishes to withdraw their JBIC Entity from their Host Organisation and establish themselves under a new Host Organisation. The following process must be followed;

- submit an email to [jbigeo@adelaide.edu.au](mailto:jbigeo@adelaide.edu.au) providing a clear explanation as to why there is a need for the change to occur
- provide a letter from their current host organisation agreeing to terminate their official position of host organisation, signed by the same signatory as the Legal Agreement. If the JBIC Entity Director is the signatory on the Legal Agreement, then the host organisation letter must be signed by a person other than the Director of the JBIC Entity.

Once JBI has reviewed the supplied documentation and justifications have been accepted, they will then provide the JBIC Entity with a new application form to complete. Noting that;

- the application will go through the same process as all applications received by JBI (including a Foreign Engagement Compliance Review of the new Host Organisation - see [JBI Collaboration Application Process and Policy](https://jbi-global-wiki.refined.site/space/JBCI/910000187/JBI+Collaboration+Application+Process+and+Policy) ) .
- if the application is accepted the legal agreement will be dated as of 1 January the following year, a legal agreement cannot be back dated as there cannot be a cross over of dates with the previous Legal agreement, and it is standard practice for JBI to have Legal Agreements dated as of 1 January of each year.
- Legal agreement end dates will be set at the same date as the previous Legal agreement, for example if there is one year left on the previous legal agreement then the new Legal Agreement will have the same end date.
- points accrued under the previous legal agreement will have their points will be transferred over due to the length of the new Legal Agreement being set to the previous Legal Agreement end date.
